FRENCH AVIATRIX

ARRIVAL AT JASK REPORTED TREK AFTER FORCED LANDING PARIS, Jan. 5. Mile. Hilsz arrived at Jask after a two days’ trek over the desert by camel. She said she knew the engine was not in a condition to face up to bad weather, but she was anxious to secure the Saigon-Paris record. Violent storms prevented her crossing the Persian Gulf, so she decided to go northwards, following the coast. There again she encountered bad weather and engine trouble. She contemplated parachuting, but made a forced landing near Jarjonsky. The plane was slightly damaged.
