CRUISE SHIP

PASSENGERS BY THE OTRANTO SHORT TOURS ARRANGED (Per United Press Association) AUCKLAND, Jan. 6. One of the largest cruise ship passenger lists this season is carried by the Orient liner Otranto, which will reach Auckland to-morrow afternoon from Brisbane. The Otranto carries 840 passengers and brings the total number of travellers to reach Auckland by the six cruise ships to about 4400. On the ship’s arrival two parties will leave to rejoin her at Wellington, one travelling via New Plymouth and the other via the National Park. Another party will leave for Waitomo and Rotorua and will return to the Otranto before she leaves for Wellington and Sydney at 11 o’clock on Saturday night. Two special trains from Auckland to-morrow morning will take tourists to Rotorua and the others will go by road to the tourist resort. Some parties will continue to Wellington via the National Park and others Via Taupo and Napier.
