STRATH EDEN’S TRIALS The new P. and 0. liner Strathcden carried out successful trials on the Clyde on December 10, averaging 21.8 knots over the 1 measured mile. Sirs will leave London tomorrow on her maiden voyage to Australia, and 1s duo at Sydney on February 3. MAIMOA’S DEPARTURE •-i The Malmoa will now sail to-day from Auckland for London, Avoumouth, Cardiff, Liverpool, ’ and Glasgow. LONDON SHIPPING During Hie week ended November 5 943 vessels, representing 930,280 net register tons, used the Port of London. Of these 504 vessels (737,790 net register tons) were to and from Empire and foreign ports and 439 vessels (192,484 not register tons) were engaged in 'coastwise traffic. The arrivals included throe ‘meat cargoes—one from Australia and tiro from New Zealand, comprising 121,000 carcasses of lamb and mutton. 10,000 packages of beef, quantities of pork, rabbits and sundries. ’Twenty-one timber-laden vessels docked in the .
