AIR OF PROSPERITY

CONDITIONS IN AUSTRALIA BUILDING BOOM IN SYDNEY (Per United Press Association) WELLINGTON, Dec. 27. “ I was impressed by the air of prosperity apparent in both Melbourne and Sydney, and with the surprising amount of building going on,” said Mr E. P. Yaldwin, late general manager of the Commercial Bank of Australia in Wellington, who returned to-day from a visit to Australia. He said that in Sydney there was evidence of a building boom of no mean proportions. He considered that the potentialities of Australia were unlimited, and it was good to hear that the relations between the Commonwealth and New Zealand were being steadily improved.
