EXTENT OF INJURIES MORE SERIOUS THAN DISCLOSED AMSTERDAM, Dec. 16. It 3s admitted that Prince Bernhard’s injuries-are more serious than were revealed in the official bulletins. He is not yet allowed to talk to anyone, not even to Princess Juliana. Unless there is a big improvement in his condition, Princess Juliana’s baby will be born in January" in hospital instead of in the palace at Soestdjik.

A message received on November 30 stated: Prince Bernhard, who was injured when his car crashed into a lorry, was taken to hospital in Amsterdam. A bulletin says the removal of Prince Bernhard to his palace at Soestdjik is not yet possible. - His condition has slightly improved. The wound in his face was stitched. It is believed that the car skidded when the Prince was trying to avoid a lorry. The front of. the car was completely crushed, and it is surprising that the Prince escaped death.
