TRADE NEGOTIATIONS

DOMINION AND AUSTRALIA MINISTERS AND EXPERTS IN CONFERENCE (Per United Press Association) WELLINGTON, Dec. 17. The negotiations between members of the Australian trade delegation and representatives of the New Zealand Government were continued to-day. Discussions took place in the morning between the Australian Minister of Trade and Customs (Mr T. W. White) and the Minister of Customs (Mr W. Nash), the Minister of Industries and Commerce (Mr D G. Sullivan) and Mr Mark Fagan, M.L.C., who was Acting Minister of Customs during Mr Nash’s visit abroad. The afternoon was confined to a meeting of the Australian and New Zealand departmental experts associated with the negotiations. Mr White accompanied Mr Nash to the break-up ceremony at the Hutt Valley High School in the afternoon. The Ministerial discussions were resumed on their return to Parliament Buildings about 5 o’clock. These were also attended by the Minister of Marine (Mr P. Fraser).
