SCHMELING TO MEET THOMAS NEW YORK, Dec. 8. (Received Dec. 8, at 11.55 p.m.) Reports from the training camps of Max Schmeling and Harry Thomas indicate that both are fit for the 15-round bout on Monday. Jack Johnson predicted that Thomas will make it “ plenty tough ” for Schmeling. Gene Tunney said Schmeling could knock out Louis again tomorrow. His 18 months' rest has not detracted one iota from his ring efficiency.
