TRAPPED BY FALL OF EARTH DEATH OF PUBLIC WORKS EMPLOYEE (Per United Press Association). AUCKLAND. Dec. 1. As the result of injuries suffered when he was trapped by a fall of earth at the Public Works quarry at Coatsville yesterday, Alfred Hardy, aged 57, married, of Riverhead, died in the Auckland Hospital to-day. MOTOR CYCLIST INJURED Thrown from his motor cycle in Playfair street yesterday, a young man, William Taylor, residing at 47 London street, suffered a fractured femur. He was admittted to the Dunedin Hospital at 7.35 p.m FALL FROM BICYCLE A young woman named Claire Faigan. who resides at 221 Anderson’* Bay road, fell off her bicycle while riding down Leckhampton court, Caversham, yesterday afternoon, and wa« admitted to the Dunedin Hospital at 6.30, suffering from head injuries end concussion.
