THE HAMMOND ORGAN

RECITAL ON TUESDAY Next Tuesday evening, in the Town Hall Concert Chamber, Dr V. E. Galway is to give a recital on a Hammond electric pedal organ provided by Charles Begg and Co. Dr Galway will be assisted by Miss Ethel Wallace and Mr A. Walmsley. The Hammond organ produces the full range of rich, lovely notes heard in cathedrals, yet it needs neither pipes nor reeds. Tones are originated by electrical impulses instead; of by air pressure. To the world of musicians the Hammond organ has come as a revelain thousands of churches, halls and among the first to buy it, and already in thousands of churches, hall and homes these instruments have been installed. Begg’s invite all interested to hear this recital free of charge, and seats may be booked free of charge.
