• TWO NEW BATTLESHIPS . LARGEST GUN EVER MOUNTED BERLIN, Nov. 18. The German Naval Year Book for 1938 reveals that two new 35,000ton battleships are under construction. Each will mount eight 15.3 in guns. This is the largest gun ever mounted on a battleship. The German guns at Jutland were 12in ones.
