MARLENE DIETRICH

GERMAN BAN ON PICTURE HERR HITLER INDIGNANT BERLIN, Nov. 19. (Received Nov. 19, at 8 p.m.) The Official News Agency defends Marlene Dietrich against attacks, and rebukes several newspapers, including Dr Streicher’s Der Stunner in that connection. It declares that the story of her American citizenship is untrue. The announcement was apparently inspired by the fact that Herr Hitler was so delighted with her latest picture, “ Angel,” that he expressed indignation when the censor banned it. The picture has now been released throughout Germany.
