DR McMILLAN AND PARTY FUNDS

TO THE EDITOR Sir, —In the House of Representatives Dr McMillan, M.P., has asked the Government to take the necessary steps to prevent limited liability companies from making donations to National Party funds without the prior consent of the majority of the shareholders being obtained. I would point out to Dr McMillan that it is obligatory upon trade unions to contribute to the funds of the Labour Party, yet because a man is a trade unionist it does not mean that he is a Labourite. This fact will be most patent to the Government at the next general election. If it is at all possible for Dr McMillan to be consistent, he should amend his inspired question to include trade unions.—l am, etc., Nationalist. Dunedin, Nov. 3.
