The major proportion of the yarding comprised medium to light descriptions, of which wethers were in greater numbers. The sale opened with values practically on a par with last week's auction, but during the middle stages a noticeable easing was in evidence for all grades. Over the final three races where the bulk of the quality sheep were yarded, competition revived with a result that last week's parity was obtained, and in cases exceeded, particularly for the heavier grades. Quotations were:—Extra prime heavy woolly wethers, to 49s 6d; prime woolly wethers, from 42s to 455; medium woolly wethers, 34s to 36s 6d; light woolly wethers, from 28s 6d; extra prime heavy shorn wethers, to 41s; prime. 33s 6d to 365; medium. 28s 6d to 30s; light, from 255; extra prime heavy young woolly ewes, to 41s Gd; 'rime heavy. 34s to 36s 6d; medium, 27s to 30s; light, from 22s 6d; extra prime heavy shorn ewes, to 32s 3d; prime, 27s 6'd to 30s: medium. 24s to 265; light, from 19s.'
