NEW DIAMOND FIELD
DISCOVERED IN SOUTH AFRICA RUSH OF PROSPECTORS JOHANNESBURG, Oct. 28. (Received Oct. 28, at 10 p.m.) Special police have been drafted to check the rush of prospectors to newly-discovered diamond fields at Verneukpan. a dried-up lake, where Sir Malcolm Campbell established his speed records in 1929 The fields are stated to be equal in richness to Namaqualand One prospector is reported to have found 100 stones.
