BALL AT RANFURLY

A large crowd attended the Ranfurly footballers' victory ball on Friday evening last. The music was supplied by an orchestra, and Messrs F, Pringle and J. Redding acted as M.C.'s. Extras were played by Miss Hughes and Mr L. Dougherty. The Monte Carlo dance was won by Miss N. Blakeley and Mr A. Murray, and the lucky spot wait? by Miss E. Harper and Mr Tompkins During the evening Mr J. E. Kearney, a member of the Maniototo Sub-union, presented the trophies won by the Ranfurly football team during the season—the County Banner, the Richard Young Banner, and the White Horse Cup. Mr J. Redding, the captain, briefly replied. Some of those present were: Mes- , dames J. E. Kearney, wearing black lace; B. Dougherty, black velvet; S. Ward, pink satin and net; J.
