WOODS AND NOLAND DRAW (Per United Press Association) . CHRISTCHURCH, Oct. 27. Joe Woods (15st 81b) and Don Noland (16st 101 b) drew, with one fall each, in a thrilling bout, which was described as a semi-final in the New Zealand elimination contest for the world title contest. Woods took a.fall in the first minute of, the first round, when he easily pinned Noland after knocking him to the canvas with three elbow jolts. Noland was awarded a penalty fall in the seventh round. . Woods had tied him. up in the ropes, so that he had to be extricated by the referee and a second, and Woods was ordered to his corner by the police for bouncing the ropes.
