B. Gina, of the Solomon Islands, and Mrs Holt, of London, will address the members. * * * On Saturday evening, at the City Hotel, prior to leaving for Sydney, Miss L. Bowden was presented with some beautiful pieces of crystal, and Mr J. McAnully, on behalf of her friends, wished her bon voyage and good luck. * * * For the period of 9 days a special free-making offer on all materials' bought from Doris Haworth, furnishing specialist, of Stuart street will be available to all women who are making new contributions to home furnishings. On Tuesday evening last the members of the Ladies’ National Reserve Miniature Rifle Club held their breakup party at the home of the president, Miss A. Edmond, 24 members being' present. A happy time was spent in playing games and competitions. Later in the evening the cups and trophies won during the year were presented, the following being the prize winners: Championship Cup, Miss D. Bradley; Championship runner-up, Miss N. Esplin; Handicap Cup, Miss M. Esplin; handicap runner-up, Miss A. Edmond; first-year members’ grouping contest, Miss G. Valentine; secret nights, Miss E. Hay; self handicap, Miss M. Taylor; rapid fire, Miss D. Bradley; five shots right and left shoulder, Miss N. Knowles; 10 shots, no sling, Miss A. Whyman; bull’s-eyes, Miss C. Cassels; blank target, Miss E. Hay; candle snuffing, Miss M. Taylor, The captain, Miss Knowles, on behalf of the club, then made a presentation of a book, book-ends, and a bouquet to Mrs J. Bradley in recognition of her services as honorary coach. Then followed a presentation to Miss Edmond, made by Mrs Bradley on behalf of the club.
