THEFTS OF MONEY

BANK EMPLOYEE'S LAPSE (Per United Press Association) CHRISTCHURCH, Oct. 19. Employed in a bank in Christchurch, when he sorted mail, a youth, aged 17 years and nine months, stole £7 in money and a cheque for £8 10s. As a result he appeared in the Magistrate's Court to-day charged with the thefts. He was convicted and ordered to come up for sentence if called upon within 12 months. His name was suppressed.
