EVIL OF ABORTION
ANGLICAN SYNOD'S VIEW CALL TO CHURCH PEOPLE (Per United Press Association) CHRISTCHURCH, Oct. 19. "This synod expresses appreciation of the action of the Government, expresses its abhorrence of the practice of criminal abortion, and calls on people to co-operate with the Government in whatever steps are taken to cope with the evil.' This was the text of a resolution carried at the twenty-seventh annual synod of tne Diocese of Christchurch to-day. The synod also decided that a copy of the resolution should be sent to the Prime Minister (Mr M. J. Savage).
