INCREASE IN RECRUITING REGULARS AND TERRITORIALS (British Official Wireless) RUGBY, Oct. 11. (Received Oct. 12, at 5.5 p.m.) Army recruiting is still on the increase in Britain The recruit intake for September was: Regular army 2243, territorial army 1906, showing increases respectively of 12.4 and 22.5 per cent, over September last year Recruits for the regular army in the six months to the end of September numbered 12,131, against 10.663 in the same period last year.
