DUNEDIN ORPHANS’ CLUB

FINAL MEETING OF SEASON A highly successful season was celebrated by the Dunedin Orphans’ Club last night, when the final meeting of the year was held in the Victoria Hall The chair was occupied by Bro. A. Smellie, and a large attendance of members was present. After a welcome had been extended to visitors from other centres, the evening's programme was proceeded with, the items being attractively varied and meeting with the enthusiastic approval of the audience. The orchestra, under the baton of Mr A. Clarke, provided a number of enjoyable selections, and individual items were presented by Messrs S. G. Angell. J. A. Haggitt A. Moore, D. F. Inglis, H. R. Hobson, A. Walmslcy, L. B. Borrow E. F. Paris E. A. Bolwell, J. Paterson and T Bachop (songs), F. Newmarch (sleight-of-hand), C. H. Russell (elocution) and E. J. H. Ruffell, W. E. Snow and H. R. Hobson (instrumental trio).
