THE LAND BOARD
TO THE EDITOR
Sir, —It certainly will be very interesting to see what action the Land Board will take at its meeting this week in reference to the grazing run concerning which “ Interested ” wrote in this morning’s Times, I presume that this run is the property in Central Otago about which there has been so much talk of late. Surely no transfer can be granted for a place of this value considering that the board has on numerous occasions objected to transfers of places considerably lower in price than this run. I for one will certainly see that the Minister of Lands is made acquainted of the facts of this particular sale—that is, if the property is transferred: but surely there is no board that would
consider allowing this to go through, since, as before stated, it has turned down propositions much preferable to this one in more ways than one. We can only wait and see. Should a transfer be granted, then perhaps the fun will commence. —I am, etc., October 12. Transfer.
