TO THE EDITOR Sir, —I would like to endorse the remarks of “A Very Poor Shop Assistant.” I, too, am employed in an oil and colour merchant’s business, and consider that the position of shop assistants in these premises has been too long left in the hands of the employers. Why cannot the Labour Department do something for us?—l am. etc.. Another Anti-Capitalist, October 12.
