BOY DREAMER

AWAKENING IN COURT ASTONISHING STORY A 15-year-old boy who faced the Old Street magistrate in London was recovering from a dream. He was accused as an American citizen of being found in the United Kingdom without leave of the immigration officer. And this was his story:— He was born in March, 1920, in New York. A man had looked after him ever since. He never knew his father and mother: never had a home. The man educated him during their travels all over the United States. They worked on farms, slept in barns and under hedges. Then he decided to travel alone. He met an English boy who worked in a cargo boat. The boy hid him in the hold. He kept him supplied with food until they reached England. This ended his story. Then the police told theirs. The boy was a British subject. His parents were in court. He had never been in America in his young life He came from a comfortable home. The boy. discharged with a caution, walked from the court back into his world of reality.
