1 LAVA SWEEPS DOWN VALLEY ROAR HEARD FOR MILES NAPLES, Oct. 11. (Received Oct. 11, at 11 p.m.) After several months of quiescence Vesuvius has erupted lava, which is flowing into the “ Valley of Hell.” Ashes were flung into the skies and the roaring of the crater was heard for miles. Thus far there has been no danger for neighbouring villages.
