THE GERMAN ARMY

INCREASED TO THIRTEEN CORPS BERLIN, Oct. 11. (Received Oct. 12, at 1 a.m.) The existence of a new German army corps was revealed when it was announced that General von Weichs, former commander of the First Mechanised Division, was transferred to Nuremberg to command the Thirteenth Corps. Hitherto the army comprised 12 corps. The total strength of the regulars is estimated at 605,000.
