KNOCKED OUT AT MEETING STRUCK BY LARGE STONE (United Press Association) (By Electric Telegraph-Copyright) LONDON, Oct. 10. Sir Oswald Mosley was knocked out at a Fascist open-air meeting at Liverpool. Hundreds of missiles were flung immediately he stood up to give an address through a loud speaker on a van, and a large stone hit him on the temple. He fell semi-conscious. Mounted police charged the crowd. Several arrests were made. DIRECTOR ALSO INJURED LONDON, Oct. 10. Sir Oswald Mosley was sent to hospital suffering from concussion and a punctured wound in the skull. An operation was successful, and there is no anxiety at present. Over 20 people were injured by stones when the crowd tried to rush the van. Mr G. C. Balfour, director of Fascists in Liverpool, was admitted to hospital with a head wound and an injury to his shoulder. He was stoned when speaking from the van before Sir Oswald Mosley’s arrival.
