POSITIONS OF PLAYERS The positions of the leading players in the various tournaments being held by the Otago Chess Club are as follows: Club Championship.—This is a single-round tournament this year and must be completed by October 31, because of the holding of the New Zealand championships in Dunedin during the Christmas vacation
B Grade Championship.—This is a double-round tournament, to be completed in February, 1938.
Handicap Tournament.—This is a single-round tournament in which the players are divided by the Match Committee into classes according to their respective strengths, the odds of pawn and one move, pawn and two moves, queen’s knight, queen’s rook and queen being given according to class.
