SCOTTISH SOCIETY

The monthly social and dance of the Scottish Society was held on Saturday evening, a record gathering of members and friends being present. The vice-president (Mr T Burnett) was piped to the platform and occupied the chair for the evening. Items were given by the following: —Miss Dorothy Stuart (violinist), Miss Muriel Eager, Mr Jack M'Caw, Mr Wesley Falconer (clarinet), Miss M'Caw, Highland dances (under Miss Rita Warren)—Betty Brown, Mavis Biessel, Rona Eason, Shirley M'Pherson, Rena Macaskell, Master Berney. Monte Carlo prizes were won by Mr A. M'Quarrie, Mr Walter Watson, Mrs Robertson, and Mrs Gilanders.
