CLUB REPORTS POET CHALMERS CLUB At the last two weekly shoots of the Port Chalmers Miniature Rifle Club, the following were the best scores: — Patterson 79, Harwood 78, Keenan 78. Coleman 77, Morgan 77, Gibbs 75, Poli 75, Monti 73, M'Dowall 71, Ferguson 70. The champion button was won by A. Patterson, and the handicap button by G. M'Dowall. At the second shoot the following were the best scores:—Patterson 80, Harwood 79, Gibbs 79, Bungard 78, Keenan 77, Coleman 77, Monti 76, Telfer 75, Olsen 74. Murdoch 73, M'Dowall 73, Clark 70, Munro 70. In the final shoot-off A. Patterson retained the championship button and J. Coleman the handicap button. WOMEN’S NATIONAL RESERVE Scores for the weekly shoot at the Women’s National Reserve Miniature Rifle Shooting Club held in the Drill Hall on August 31 are as follows:Mrs Bradley 80, Miss M. Knowles 78, Miss C. Cassells 77, Mrs D. Esplin 77, Miss M. Bain 75, Mrs Rathbone 73, Mrs R. Hay 73, Miss E. Whyman 71, Mrs Taylor 70, Miss D. Boyle 70. The rifle badge was won by Miss M. Knowles, with a score of 78. Miss M. Bain and Miss S. Cassells tied for the club’s rifle badge at the weekly shoot held on September 7, and Miss Beck won the handicap button. Clark won the club button with his first possible. The club entertained the patron and vicepresidents on August 23, the president’s team beating the patron’s team by four points. The vice-presidents presented a club championship cup and also a handicap cup to be won outright at the final of the season.
