MRS R. S. BARTLETT

Deep regret was felt in Waitahuna when it became known that Mrs R. S. Bartlett had passed away, at the early age of 51 years. Mrs Bartlett was the eldest daughter of the late Mr and Mrs Sanson, of Wetherstones, and was married in April. 1910, to Mr Robert Bartlett, third son of the late Mr and Mrs George Bartlett, of River road, Waitahuna. For nearly two years they lived at Mount Stuart, where Mr Bartlett managed his mother's farm.. In 1912 .Mr Bartlett went to Wendonside as manager of a property belonging to Mr Donald Munro, where he remained for 10 years. Mr and Mrs Bartlett then went to Beaumont to work for Mrs Wood, remaining there until Mr Bartlett bought Mr T. Corry's farm at Murray Flat, Waitahuna. Mrs Bartlett was of a bright and happy nature and was loved by all. The funeral was one of the largest ever seen in the district, friends coming from Invei'cargill, Oamaru, Dunedin, Cromwell, Beaumont and the surrounding districts. The funoral services were conducted by the Rev. Mr Winton.
