DEAN OF CANTERBURY'S ACTIONS POWERS OF THE ARCHBISHOP LONDON, June 23. The Archbishop of Canterbury, speaking at a church assembly, said that, even if he wished, he had no power to remove the Dean of Canterbury from office for his actions and opinions. However, he had expressed to the dean, the archbishop said, his regret that he had brought the name of the Cathedral Church of Canterbury into the arena of political controversy.
