ONE HUNDRED YARDS: BACKSTROKE INVERCARGILL GIRL'S EFFORT (Per United Press Association) INVERCARGILL, June 24. A new mark for the New Zealand Intermediate Girls' 100 Yards Backstroke was set in the Municipal Baths to-night by Joyce M'Donald, whose time was 77 4-ssec. Her time was only 1 2-ssec outside the New Zealand women's record held by Ena Stockley.
