“ Lady Precious Stream,” the wellknown Chinese play by S. I. Hsiung, will be presented by the Univei’sity Dramatic Society in Allen Hall on June 25 and June 26. This play, which had a run of three years in London, brings to the stage all the picluresqueness and simplicity of Chinese life, with a gentle current of humour running through it from beginning to end Apart from the entertaining character of the play itself, the traditional Chinese manner of staging, which gives full scope for the imagination of the audience, will be of interest The leading roles are portrayed by Eric Charteris, Doris Craig. Henry Williams. Ngaire Glue. Lydia Henderson and Moya Ripley, and there are several other players in minor parts. The production is in the capable hands of Mrs O. C. Stephens, who has presented so many successful plays in Dunedin.
