MR SEMPLE’S HEALTH

RESPITE FROM OFFICIAL DUTIES A VISIT TO AUSTRALIA (Per United Press Association) WELLINGTON, June 23. The Acting Prime Minister (Mr P. Fraser) stated to-night that although the Minister of Public Works (Mr R. Semple) had returned to his Ministerial duties and thrown himself into his many tasks with his usual enthusiasm, the Cabinet felt it unwise at present for the Minister to

shoulder heavy administrative burdens till he had made further progress in physical recovery. “ It was therefore decided, at today’s meeting of the Cabinet,” Mr Fraser said, “ that arrangements should be made for Mr 'Semple to visit Australia for a few weeks with a view to aiding his recovery. Tt is Mr Semple’s intention, if his health permits, to carry out an investigation in the Commonwealth in connection with transport and electrical power schemes. He had intended to make such investigation after next session.”
