CHARITY BALL
That a 'formal dance is still an attraction is evidenced by the great interest aroused by this year’s charity ball to be hold in the Town Hall next Tuesday. Creditable as the achievements ot past years have been, the executive is not content to rest on its reputation and as details for the approaching function are completed ii has every reason to feel confident that earlier efforts will be surpassed. A larger number of debutantes than usual have expressed their desire to be pre sented to Bishop Whyte, and this fea ture of the ball should afford an at tractive sight To add to the scene of gaiety and movement a bright and colourful scheme of decoration hatbeen arranged From the spacious galleries a comprehensive view of (hr proceedings may be obtained by those unable to participate actively. Tickets are strictly limited in number, and as they are finding a ready sale, intending patrons are advised to make immediate application to the D.I.C. booking ofllce.
