GOOD TEMPLARY
. The Star of the South Juvenile Temple (1.0.G.T.) held its weekly meeting on Tuesday. Chief Templar Sis. P. Hollick presided over a good attendance, Bro. E. Brooks, superintendent, being in charge. Three new members were initiated, and Sis. Hazeliwood (Rescue Lodge, No. 105) spoke to them. A vote of sympathy'was passed with, the family of the late Sis, V. Gain. P.D.V.T., the members, standing in silence. The following took office for the initiation competition:— Chief Templar, Sis. •G. Herbert; V.T., ‘Sis. L. North; chaplain, Sis. M. Gibbs; Marshal, Sis. B. Ross. Bro. W, Floury and Bro. W. A. lies were;reported to be progressing favourably. ■ ";<?*• The Rescue Lodge (1.0.G.T.) held its weekly meeting on Tuesday,. Chief Templar Bro. C. Brooks presiding over a fair attendance. Resignations were received from Bro. R. Morgan (secretary) and Bro. Anderson; (assistant secretary), who regretted being unable to attend regularly at present. It was decided that a letter should be sent to these brothers 'thanking them for their valuable services. Bro. E. Brooks, J.J.W., reported on Star of the South, J.T. The members stood in silence as a mark of respect for Sis. V. (Jain (P.D.V.T.), who had passed away since ;the last meeting. Sis. Doris and I. Miller and Sis. R. Smith were; appointed to the Kitchen Comtnittee. The naval trophy was on show; for the first time since the lodge had ,w.on it. Sis. M. Miller was given a ihearty farewell prior to her departure |for Invercargill. Sis. Leishmahand ;Sis. Giles were cordially welcomed as visitors from Hope -of Caversham Lodge.
