COMMUNITY SING
The fifth community sing of the season will be held in the Strand Theatre (by courtesy of Fuller-Hay ward) on Friday, commencing at 12.15. A special attraction is to be announced later in the week. Last week £lO9 Is 9d was handed over to the King George V Memorial Fund. This year the community sings have made an excellent beginning, and the listeners-in and the audience have-showed their appreciation of the programmmes presented. Mr H. P. Desmoulins will be the leader and Mr Alf. Pettitt will be at the piano. The proceeds will again be given to the Mayor’s Relief of Distress Fund. Mrs MTntyre. who has charge of the stall, will be pleased to receive goods and flowers. Donations can be sent to Begg’s or to the Strand Theatre. “Cheerios” should be sent in to Mr Himburg as early as possible.
