UNITED TEMPERANCE REFORM COUNCIL
INTOXICATED MOTORISTS . At a meeting of the United Temperance Reform Council the following resolutions, which are to be forwarded to the Minister of Transport, were adopted:—(l) That this council appreciates deeply the splendid efforts being made by the Minister of Transport, Mr R, Semple, in the direction of reducing the menace of intoxicated motorists, and wishes him continued success. (2) That this council deplores the glaring want of co-operation on the part of some magistrates in respect to convicting and enforcing adequate penalties on intoxicated motorists.
