ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES
STRUCK BY CAR
(Per United Press Association) WELLINGTON. June 21
An elderly man. named Henry Payne, married, of 11 Hull road, Wellington, was struck by a car and died from injuries lo his head and right arm at 9.40 to-night:' The accident occurred on the Hutt road opposite the joinery factory at Kaiwarra. Payne was recently employed by Messrs Levin and Co. a‘s a storeman at their wool stores at Kaiwarra MAN FOUND DEAD INQUEST OPENED Richard Talbot Davis, a single man. aged 38 years, was found dead on Saturday night in the back yard of 42 Glasgow street, South Dunedin, where he was a boarder. An inquest was opened yesterday morning. Mr H. W. Bundle. S.M., sitting as coroner, and. after evidence of identification had been taken, was adjourned sine die.
