THE MARCUS SHOW
TO THE EDITOR
Sir,—l would like to draw the attention of the public to what I consider amounts virtually to sharp practice on the part of the promoters of the Marcus Show. I refer to the prices of reserved seats. Not being in a position to avail myself of preferential booking (10s 6d plus tax, total lis 8d), I waited till the ordinary box plan prices were announced. On attending at the booking office to inquire about reservations for some days ahead, I was surprised to learn that ordinary'booking was available only from day to day, although the newspaper advertisements make no mention of such a condition. To my mind this is quite unfair, and I think the Dunedin public should support me in this matter and give the company a wide berth.—l am, etc., Not To Be Stung.
[The booking system that is being observed has been practised on previous occasions in Dunedin.—Ed., O.D.T.]
