The matches set down for Saturday will be played this week. WOMEN'S GAMES MOMONA v. TRAINING COLLEGE In a game which was very evenly contested in the first spell, Momona defeated Training College by 3 goals to 1 at Logan Park on Saturday. Plav was up and down the field at the commencement of the game, neither side getting within striking distance of the other's goal. Momona was first to rally, and the forwards carried play

to the College circle several times, only to be beaten by solid defence. College then took up the running and gained several corners without scoring. Eventually a nice effort by the inside-right took play to the circle, where this player capped a good rush by beating the goalie with a neat shot. College 1. Momona nil. Almost immediately College returned to the attack and the left-wing had a shot which just failed to register. Momona set up some strong attacks, several of which were cleverly cleared by the College right full-back who, at this stage was playing a good game. Despite stern opposition by this player. Momona got to the edge of the circle before College finally relieved and sent its forwards away. Momona returned, the rightwing leading the forwards down to College's circle and sending across to the left-wing, who equalised. Half time came without further scoring. At the commencement of the second half, Momona took charge, and from that stage held the upper hand through, out. Momona made several rallies which were resultless, K. Angell finally putting her side ahead with a good shot. Momona 2, College 1. College attacked, but M. Bewley cleared and sent her forwards away. Momona kept up the pressure, and M. M'Dougall sent a nice shot in, the game ending:— Momona .. .. 3 goals. Training College .. 1 goal. Mr L. J. T. Ireland was umpire.

OTAGO V. UNIVERSITY Otago met University at Logan Park, which was in good condition. Overhead conditions were not good, a strong wind spoiling the game. The University forward line gave a better display, its passing being pretty to watch. The Otago halves and backs played well, always keeping the forwards on attack. Prominent for University were the goalkeeper, A. Marshall, H. Johnston, and N. Hamer.

There was no score at half time, Otago netting two good goals during the second spell. The game ended:— Otago 2 goals. University Nil. Mr Wallace was umpire.
