SUNDAY SERVICES

The Rev. D. C. Herron, M.A., will conduct both services at Knox Church to-morrow. His evening subject will be “ Missing the Significance.”

The Rev. W. Allen Stevely will conduct the services at First Church. The morning subject will be “All These Things,” and the quartet “ Come Down O Love Divine ” will be sung. The evening subject will be “ Into the Deep.” The anthem “ Blessed Be the God and Father ” will be included in the music. Dr V. E. Galway will be the organist. Mr J. M. M’Ewan’s subject at the Spiritualist Church, Radiant Hall, will be “ Ways of Peace.” A medium will give a demonstration of spiritual clairvoyance after the address. On Monday at 8 o’clock, the Healing Centre will meet.

At the Salvation Army Adjutant and Mrs Victor Dick will conduct a “ Gospel in Bible and Song ” Sunday and will speak at 11 a.m. on “The Silence of the Scriptures,” at 3 p.m. on “ Where Gold In Heaven Is Found,” and at 7 p.m. on “ Stolen Crowns.” The band and Songster Brigade will render appropriate music. At 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. there will be young people’s meetings conducted by Y.P.S.M. Sister Mrs Lemin. 1

At the Theosophical Society there will be an address on “ The Conquering Self,” by M. C. Englefield. The services at the Methodist Central Mission will be conducted by the Rev. Leslie B. Neale. In the evening Mr Neale will take as his subject “ The Swimming Axe ” and the soloist will be Mrs O. J. Stenhouse.

Both services of Divine worship at Moray Place Congregational Church will be conducted by the Rev. Albert Mead. The evening subject will be “Andrew—the One-Talented man,’’ and the choir will sing the anthem. “O Gladsome Light” (Sullivan). The sacrament of the Lord’s Supper will be. observed in St. Stephen’s Presbyterian Church at the morning service, the subject being “ The Precious Blood of Christ.” At the evening service, which will be followed by a supplementary communion, the subject will be “At the Turn of the Year.” At both services the Rev. Thomas Miller will be the preacher. The services at the Hanover Street Baptist Church will be conducted by the Rev. J. Ewen Simpson, who will speak in the morning on “ Where Is Your Faith? ” and in the evening on “ Christian Conduct.” In the evening Miss Hazel Walker will sing a solo, and the choir will present the hymn study “ I Am His, and He Is Mine.”

The services at the Maori Hill Presbyterian Church to-morrow will be conducted by the Rev. A. C W. Standage. At the Greater World Christian Spiritual Mission the Rev. Gertrude Brooks will speak on the subject “ The Army Is Advancing.” This will be followed by spiritual clairvoyance and after circle. On Monday night the prayer and healing circle will meet, and on Wednesday at 3 p.m. and 8 p.m. there will be flower psychometry. “Oh. to Find God!” will be the theme at Trinity Methodist Church to-morrow evening, the preacher being the Rev. C, H. Olds. The anthem will be “ Evening and Morn;ng.” The morning subject will be “ Reckless Abandon.” To-morrow’s services at the United Congregational Church, Albany street, will be conducted by the Rev C. G. Hedley Bycroft, who will take as his morning subject “ What To Do With Our Burdens.” In the evening the subiect will be “ The Most Neglected Doctrine in the New Testament.” The choir will sing the anthem “A Prayer ” (Handel).
