SIMPLE TONIC EXERCISE
Hei'o is a splendid free exercise which may be best taken without clothing With feet apart, stand erect. Open both palms of both hands and place as broadly as possible in small of back over kidney roa. With vigour pass the open hands down the backs of both thighs and legs, bending knees slightly as hands pass over outer sides of both calves. When the ankles arc reached the open palms arc transferred to insides of both legs when the palms are passed thus rapidly upwards inside thighs (stand up straight as you do so), then up both sides of abdomen and up to chest as high as is convenient When in this position the body Is bent slightly backwards, face and head upwards, and a deep breath taken. The whole exercise is then repeated rhythmically, care being taken to exhale on downwards movement and inhale as erect position is taken up.
