GARDENING CLUB

The Dunedin Gardening Club opened its 1937-38 season with a lantern lecture by Mr J. W. Aitken, in which the speaker drew attention to the natural and varied scenic attractions of the South Island. He stressed their value and importance both educationally and as tourist resorts. Most of the pictures shown were taken under the best of light and atmospheric conditions, and were greatly admired. At the conclusion of the meeting Mr Aitken was accorded a hearty vote of thanks for his interesting address and pictures. Mr Simpson manipulated the lantern, and Mr J. Passmore presided over the meeting.
