INDISCRIMINATE USE OF SIRES CLYDESDALE BREEDERS' MEETING (Per United Press Association) PALMERSTON N., .June 17. Clydesdale breeders at their annual meeting decided to endeavour to persuade the Government to enact legislation to prevent unsound stallions travelling the country. It was stated that on every road in New Zealand there could be seen ample evidence of unsound horses, the result of indiscriminate use of unsound stallions, and much of the- drjft from the horse to motor traction could be, laid at the feet of purchasers who bought unwittingly the progeny of these unsound sires and experiencing early breakdowns. Mr R. Kennedy, of Drummond. was elected president; Messrs J. W. Harding (Waipukurau), W. C. Wallace (Cambridge), A. Brown (Kakanui),and A. Grant (Fairlie) were elected vicepresidents.
