LOYAL ORANGE LODGE No. 12
The members of the Loyal Orange Lodge, No. 12, William Johnston, held their monthly meeting in the Oddfellows' Hall, Kensington, on Tuesday evening. Wor. Master Bro. Wallis presided over a fair attendance of members and visitors. Reports were received regarding three members who were unwell. Correspondence, including invitations to attend a dance at No. 28 Caversham on June 17, the installation of the Wor. Master of No. 58, Port Chalmers, and also the installation of the Wor. Mistress and officers of No. 30. Women's Lodge, on June 24, was dealt with. The installation of L.L.O.L. No. 31 takes place on July 5 in the Oddfellows' Hall. Bro. Gate was warmly welcomed, and the Wor. Master presented him with his P.M. diploma of the Roslyn Lodge, and conveyed the congratulations and Rood wishes of his parent lodge. The R.W. Grand Master of New Zealand forwarded interesting and encouraging correspondence. The secretary was presented with an electric bedside reading lamp, and the treasurer with a cheaue. At the close of the meeting a card tournament was held.
