TRANSPORT OF TEAMS LORRY OWNERS REQUIRE LICENCE ■ (Per United Press Association) WELLINGTON, June 17. Concerning the transport of football teams by road, the Commissioner of Transport has advised the New Zealand Rugby Union that football matches are not considered special occasions" within the meaning of the Transport Licensing Act, 1931. and. therefore a licence must be taken out, in addition to a certificate of fitness, for any service in which a lorry owner charged for the carriage of a team.
