DISABLED SOLDIERS
EXHIBITION OF WORK For the purpose of showing the people of New Zealand something of the work that has been done in England since the Great War to provide an occupation and means of livelihood for those suffering from the severest forms of disability, the Disabled Sailors’ and Soldiers’ Mutual Association has brought out to the Dominion an exhibition of printed and painted textiles in silk, linen and canvas and fancy goods made by the War Service Legion of London. The exhibition will be officially opened in the Concert! Chamber of the Town Hall at 2.30 this afternoon by the Mayor (the Rev. E. T. Cox), when the public will be given the opportunity of seeing what expert craftsmen, though disabled, can do. The exhibition will also be open tomorrow morning and afternoon, and the articles will be offered for sale in order to defray expenses, rather than to make a profit. The Dunedin Returned Soldiers’ Association is working in co-operation with the “ Sasma," and there will be a stand devoted to the work of Dunedin disabled soldiers.
