Reports of meetings ol branches are requested, but they should be furnished promptly for the Dublication of reports that art; not supplied within a week from the date of the meeting cannol be promised The Milburn-Clarendon branch of the Women's Division of the Farmers' Union met at Milburn on Friday last A collection of winter clothing made by members will be handed over to the district Plunket nurse for distribution among the needy. Several members canvassed the district and collected over £8 for the King George V Memorial Fund. A demonstration was given by Mrs Wendelken, of Milton, on " Basket Work." The hostesses were Mrs Kane and Mrs Cook. Mrs Gardyne won the prize for the best eggless biscuit. * * * The Waikouaiti branch of the Women's Division of the Farmers' Union met on Friday night in the Merton School, the president (Mrs Townsend) occupying the chair. Some of the remits for the conference were read and discussed. A competition, the dinner menu, supervised by the Merton ladies, was won by Mrs Townsend, with Mrs Gilchrist second Supper with the members of the Farmers' Union was. served by the hostesses, the Merton ladies.
